After surrounding Byakuya and the Zanpakutous, the shinigamis faced off them respectively. Sai Fon faced off two Zanpakutous. Ichigo fought Bayakuya's Zanpakutou. Renji fought Bayakuya. Ikkaku fought and finally defeated his own Zanpakutou. His partner and his own Zanpakutou had a quarrel over their own images. Close to end of episode, Mayuri's Zanpakutou sneaked into the shinigami's quarters.
