D.N.Angel Issue #50 - #54:

Daisuke and Satoshi were walking up the stairs in the tower and Satoshi reminded Daisuke of numbering whose wrong combination could result to tower falling. He also warned Daisuke of other traps as they entered a hall. Daisuke was to dodge all moonlight areas to deactivate the trap. He accidentially landed on a moonlight-lit floor and the ground started to evolve. The statues begun to move. Other place, Argentine and Risa sensed the change. Argentine knew Dark was here. Daisuke remembered he did not touch any shadowed panel and Satoshi knew Argentine had set traps they did not know. Satoshi commanded Daisuke to run until he got to the door to next floor. The statue attacked Satoshi and Daisuke yelled. Before it could touch him, Kard took over Satoshi's body and destroyed the statue. Kard amused of his meeting Daisuke who was clutching at the exit door handle. He used his force and sent Daisuke struggling against the door. Dark called Daisuke to let him switch over as he stood no chance against Kard. Satoshi commanded Kard from advancing Daisuke and stated that he had no need for Kard's power. Satoshi emphasized that the body belonged to him. Daisuke felt upset to see Satoshi in pain over control of his body as Satoshi finally regained back. Daisuke told him not to move as he was not in good condition despite Satoshi's persistence that he was fine. Daisuke took off his coat and put over Satoshi who was finally convinced to rest. Later while resting, Daisuke asked Satoshi if he was helping him as friend and the latter replied yes. Satoshi added that he also did that because he wanted to destroy Argentine who was a monsterous artwork. Daisuke was glad that Satoshi told him what was really going on and wanted to do something on his own. Daisuke knew that he wouldn't be able to get so far if not for Satoshi and felt somehow they were almost perfect opposites. Satoshi told him that he did not have enough time as his family line had short life-span. Daisuke was aghast.

Satoshi stated it was a retribution or rather a curse. The Hikari used to be a modest artist. But his madness increased over the time as he dedicated to his arts and poured life into them. He even sold his soul to the devil to obtain the forbidden technique. As a result, his hands became stained as he poured life into his works turning himself more like a devil himself. This drove the Hikari into madness. Many people talked about Hikari's works as they were like living creatures. Daisuke's ancestor - Niwa carried a particular interest in the artworks. Satoshi told Daisuke that the Niwa family which comprised of phantom thieves were bewitched by the Hikari's artworks. The war between Niwa and Hikari extended into eternity. 'Kokuyoku' the artwork which Hikari sought to fulful his deepest desire had begun its construction. At its last moment to be completed, the Niwa approached Hikari and attempted to destroy the work. The magical energy lost its destination and fell upon both the Hikari and Niwa who were present. The 'Kokuyoku' manifested itself into the Hikari as 'Krad' and into the Niwa as 'Dark'. The curse carried the means to seal the other rather than to cancel each other out. Across generations, the curses dwelled within them as their other selves. With that, under the night skies, wings emerged from Daisuke and Satoshi's backs.

Daisuke was shocked that Kard and Dark were curses. Krad curse made the Hikari clan short life while Dark curse made the Niwa clan having difficulty to realise his love, restricting his family's prosperity. Satoshi told Daisuke that in the beginning, the curses were meant to befall on only one person but they were spilt to certain degree. Satoshi wanted to give life regardless what price he had to pay while Daisuke was to steal life. He wondered who was the sinner. Daisuke wanted to help Satoshi but did not know where to begin. He grabbed Satoshi's arm and stated that they would do something together to resolve it. He added that he could get his father to help as well as Dark. Satoshi was surprised. Satoshi found it hard to hate Daisuke eventhough he used to vow to hate the Hikari and Niwa blood till his day of death. As the sun rose, Satoshi reminded Daisuke that they should move on. Same time, Risa was pissed when Argentine carried her as he flew up the tower storey and sent her to her room. He stated that she was his 'key' and that she would be safest in the room. Argentine found it funny to have something he wished to protect which made him more human. Just then, Daisuke ran towards the tower where Risa was imprisoned while Satoshi yelled him not to go any closer as he was defenseless out there. Argentine sent attack forces at Daisuke who leaped. Daisuke fell. He managed to grab a crumpled wall before falling again. Dark told Daisuke to ask him out for help but Daisuke flatly refused. Daisuke shouted out Dark's name. Risa ran to her window and Riku sensed something in her place. Dark flew up the tower and taunted Daisuke for causing so much trouble by not calling him out earlier in the first place. Daisuke was bemused but thanked Dark for saving his life. Dark stated that Daisuke's eyes had finally opened to the truth and that Dark existed within him and therefore he was him.

Dark stated that it was time for him and Daisuke to rescue Risa from the tower. Satoshi arrived. Daisuke was not pleased when Dark told Satoshi that Daisuke had cried out for help to save his own life. Satoshi felt something down below and suggested working separately as he wanted to investigate the place below. Satoshi was troubled with Argentine's power when he could attack Daisuke back earlier. Meanwhile, Risa was yelling at Argentine, stating she would never forgive him if he did anything that hurt Dark. Argentine watched in silence stunness as Dark flew up towards him, calling Risa to get over to him. Risa was delighted and ran to reach his outstretched hand. But Argentine arrived and pulled her away from Dark. Dark and Argentine fought. Daisuke wanted to remind Dark that their priority was to save Risa but his voice could not reach him. Risa screamed out for Dark as he fell down with Argentine. Down below the tower, Satoshi reached a hall where 'Qualia' was located and knew that she was the one who had been giving Argentine that power. Meanwhile, Argentine and Dark were fighting. Same time, 'Qualia' fell off her hold as Satoshi told her to stop. She opened her eyes slightly and called Argentine's name. Satoshi was aghast that his ancestor was far too dangerous to create a monster. As Dark shook Argentine, Daisuke told Dark that there must be a reason behind Argentine's act. Dark did not care as Argentine was just a thing. Something swirled in Argentine's chest and he screamed for Qualia. The tower begun to fall apart and Daisuke was anxious for Risa who was still trapped in the tower. Dark rushed to her. Risa fell from the tower as she screamed for Dark. Satoshi transformed into Krad and caught Risa in time as Dark was too far from her. Risa opened her eyes to see Krad. She was confused.

Satoshi made to walk away but Risa felt the white wings were familar and begged him not to leave. He told her to stay there until someone came to pick her up. He flew off. She wondered why he saved her. Meanwhile, Daisuke found himself turning back and enquired on Dark. He saw With in front of him. When Daisuke stated Dark was in shock that Krad beat him to reach Risa, Dark retorted at him. In the hiding, Satoshi's thorned ring which his foster father had given him to control Krad broke as he returned back to normal. He sensed for some strange reason, warmth within his chest. Argentine made way to the underground hall and knew he had lost Qualia for the second time. He wanted a 'heart' so that a piece could become a true work of art as what his creator had said. Daisuke approached Argentine who wept over the loss of Qualia before he could give her a heart. Daisuke stated that Argentine's crying for someone else showed that he truly had a heart. He stated that a heart was something that was borned within him and asked if he was Argentine. Daisuke, despite initially angry with Argentine, begun to understand what was going on. He stated that both Argentine and he himself had hearts of their own. Daisuke ran to Argentine who begun to turn to stone as the latter outstretched his hand, hoping to give his heart to Qualia. Satoshi arrived and told Daisuke that Argentine had reached his breaking point. He told Daisuke that Risa was waiting for him and that he would catch up with them. He also told him that the tower could not hold on much longer. As Daisuke ran off, Satoshi picked something from the water. Meanwhile, Dark approached Risa who ran to hug him in tears. Dark yelled the lost Daisuke to hold Risa's shoulders in his arms. Daisuke ran into the bushes where he pulled off his wig when Takeshi suddenly appeared behind him. He showed Daisuke his newly taken photo with only Krad's wings in it. Risa protested Takeshi's earlier conclusion about Dark kidnapping her and exclaimed that Dark saved her. Satoshi appeared, resentful of Takeshi's accusion that the white wings was the culprit. He told Takeshi that he decided to return to their school. Satoshi wanted to talk to Daisuke but was interrupted by the appearance of his foster father who came to fetch him in his car. They parted. As the car left, the tower collapsed. The foster father was indifferent to it but Satoshi tightened his fist, knowing it was his foster father's doing. Meanwhile, Riku opened the door to hug Risa who returned home. Riku was not pleased when Risa claimed Dark had came for her. Riku saw Daisuke who explained that he sent Risa home when he found her during his jogging. Riku told Daisuke to help her pass a note to Dark for her. She thanked Daisuke for sending Risa home. Back home, Daisuke's family were glad that the matter had finally ended. Daisuke's mother was not happy as she couldn't see Argentine who was an unusual piece of artwork. Towa told them that she could still sense two very faint weak sort of light.

COMMENT: And so it ends the arc for Dark, Daisuke and Satoshi's rescue of Risa from Argentine who finally found his 'heart'.

D.N.Angel Issue - Argentine Special:

It was another night when Dark/Daisuke stole Laura's ring from the patrolling police headed by Takeshi's father. Back home, Daisuke's mother told him to check the treasure. He was aghast to find the box empty. Together with his grandfather and mother, they went hunting for it. Next day, Daisuke was listless as the ring was still not found. Satoshi interrupted his thought. In the Niwa mansion, Towa was complaining over her massive workload and sensed someone in the underground chamber. She went to check. She saw something, screamed and ran to Daisuke and his mother who accompanied her. Daisuke ran into Argentine. He was astonished and Argentine explained that his new creator had repaired him. The new creator (suspected by Daisuke to be Satoshi) had put a piece of Qualia and had assigned him to act as handyman in Niwa's house to attend to creations that were exceptionally damaged. He passed them the ring which Daisuke thought he had lost. Towa and Argentine quarrelled. Daisuke's mother flew to hug Argentine. Argentine reassured Daisuke that he had lost vast amount of his power after he was reborn. His only talent was to repair things. Daisuke's mother wanted Towa to work together with Argentine and she firmly refused. Daisuke's mother sent Argentine to change into a suit for butler. Dark and Daisuke were bemused. Next day, the mused Satoshi asked if Daisuke wanted to talk to him about it and Daisuke declined the offer. New day, Takeshi was impressed to see Daisuke having a butler other than a maid.

Naruto Spoilers for Issue #438:

Just saw a bit of spoiler for Issue #438 of Naruto.... Naruto's 6-tailed Kyuubi was facing off Nagato who prepared to use a forbidded technique on him. Sakura became aware of Naruto's situation as she sensed the Kyuubi chakra. Anko (so good to see her again!), Yamato and Sai were still on their mission to find Kabuto when Yamato became aware of Naruto's transformation into 6 tailed Kyuubi. Hinata laid on the ground, barely alive (at least she was still alive).

D.N.Angel Issue #44 - #48:

Risa was kidnapped by Argentine in the amusement park to lure Dark. Satoshi met Daisuke again when the latter attempted to find Risa. He told Satoshi of Risa's situation. Daisuke had hurt himself when he fell from the sky in form of Dark to the ground where he regained to his former self. Satoshi tried to calm the infuriated Daisuke down. Daisuke felt weakened as Satoshi told him that he knew the kidnapper was Argentine.

In his illusion, Niwa Daisuke saw Risa crying and she claimed Dark was not coming for her. She turned into Riku and Daisuke was confused only to feel Dark slapping on his shoulder, joking with him and marrying Riku off. Daisuke was aghast.

He woke to find his anxious mother hugging him in his bed as he had been sleeping for two days. She instantly announced his condition to his father. Daisuke remembered Risa and wanted to go and save her. His father told them that he had overheard Daisuke's muttering about Argentine and went to do some research. He had found that during the cultural revolution, near the end of the era, Argentine was created - an art piece of Hikari that was never seen by anyone. Daisuke asked about Riku. His mother told him that she had passed out after sensing something wrong about Risa and had not woke eversince. Daisuke felt frustrated for not able to save either of the twin. Daisuke insisted on going to save Risa, feeling sure with Dark's help, they would succeed. But Dark told Daisuke that this time, he could not help him.

Dark told Daisuke that because of Daisuke's unstable feelings, it was too dangerous for them to go together. Daisuke had created the wings by himself using his rage. If Daisuke was to summon Dark with his anger, he would end up like Satoshi. Daisuke's father understood Dark's explaination and elaborated to Daisuke. Only the right feeling would summon Dark which was consideration for someone else. Daisuke understood and decided to save Risa and Riku by himself.

In a room, Risa woke to find herself in a room where Argentine played a piano. As he approached her, she threw a vase, warning him not to come any closer. Argentine appeared confused as he stated that according to his creator, human beings liked to wake up to music as he handed her a fallen rose. Risa was shocked to find her attire changed while she was unconscious. She left the room in anger. Meanwhile, Daisuke's father told his wife that Argentine was one of Hikari's art pieces that was already destroyed. Meanwhile, Risa was shocked to find herself looking down from a crumbling staircase of a tower. Daisuke was shocked to learn the information from his father. Meanwhile, Risa returned to her room and could see blue skies from the balcony. She wanted to know what the place was. She threatened to jump if Argentine came any closer to her. He promised not to get close to her as he needed her. He told her that he wished to become 'Dark Wing'. Risa was confused.

Meanwhile, Riku woke to see her mother by her side. She suddenly remembered Risa and Daisuke and asked her mother how she was home. Her mother told her that Risa was missing and that no one had seen her. Riku wanted to go and look for her but was stopped by her mother as she had been unconscious for days. Riku could sense that Risa was in fear. Other place, Daisuke was reassured to know from Towa that Riku had regained consciousness. Towa told him that Riku and Risa were twins and probably Riku could follow the connection to reach Risa. Daisuke decided to look for Riku so that they could find Risa together. He landed on one of his mother's traps. Just then, Daisuke's classmate - Takeshi came to visit him. Daisuke's mother invited him in for a tea. Daisuke saw his mother stealing Takeshi's cameras as he had been secretly taking photos of their house. Takeshi, while marvelling over Daisuke's young looking mother, reminded Daisuke that he had missed school for days as well as Risa and Riku. He wanted Daisuke to tell him any information he knew. He demanded to know Daisuke's development with Riku. Towa who came to serve tea got embarrassed when she witnessed Takeshi hugging Daisuke and flew off with red face. Takeshi told Daisuke about the disappearance of Risa. There was a rumors that Dark was the one who kidnapped Risa. Daisuke insisted that Dark did not kidnap Risa. Takeshi believed him. Takeshi challenged Dark to rescue Risa as he was a girl hunter. Takeshi asked Daisuke why did he always get onto Dark's side and suspected Daisuke was hiding something from him.

Meanwhile, Risa questioned Argentine what he meant by 'Dark Wings' and wondered if the boy before her was a human. He told her that both he and 'Dark Wing' were not human. He told her that 'Dark Wing' was Dark and Krad and together, they became one. Risa told him to stop saying. Same time, Riku was in great discomfort as she pondered where Risa was. Other place, Daisuke was on his way to save Risa on his own. He ran into Satoshi. Satoshi had been looking for Daisuke as he wanted to talk to him. He told Daisuke that he knew where Argentine was. He wanted Daisuke to cooperate with him. On his finger was a ring which controlled Krad within him.

D.N.Angel short story #2:

Daisuke's mother gave her son his birthday present which he accepted with suspicion. Dark was depressed as Daisuke's mother reminded him of his old age. Daisuke sketched a protrait of Dark to cheer him up. Dark criticised the picture but thanked Daisuke the next day.

D.N.Angel short story #3:

Risa fixed Riku's hair with ribbons as they set off for school. Daisuke was confused with Riku's changed image. Riku was pissed with Daisuke's lack of reaction. When Daisuke finally summoned his courage to compliment her image, Riku slammed him to the ground in embarrassment. Next day, Riku tried to do the same hairdo but was not skilful enough to do a proper job.

D.N.Angel #49:

Dark was suspicious of Satoshi's intention when he volunteered to help Daisuke to find Argentine. Satoshi extended his hand to Daisuke who wondered if it was a trap to catch him and Dark. Despite Dark's protest and his mother's earlier warning about Satoshi, Daisuke accepted Satoshi's offer and took his hand. Satoshi told Daisuke to call him once he had prepared for the rescue operation as he walked away. Back home, Daisuke's grandfather and mother ranted at him for working with Satoshi. Daisuke explained that Satoshi was his friend and that as a descendent of Hikari, he might know Argentine more than anyone did. His mother and grandfather were speechless. Daisuke's father told his wife to trust Daisuke's judgement. His grandfather told him not to let his guards down and Daisuke noted. As Daisuke prepared for the operation, he told Dark that he did trust Satoshi. Daisuke hoped Risa would wait for him as he looked into the night sky. In the mansion, Riku hoped for Risa's safety. In the living room, Riku and Risa's mother was weeping over the twin's separation yet again and worried for Risa's disappearance. Towa told Daisuke's parents that Riku, probably influenced by Risa, was weakening. In the living room, Daisuke's father knew Dark's only way to exist was to be loved.

Other place, Risa woke to find herself in different dress. She glared at Argentine and yelled him pervert for taking advantage of her while she was sleeping. She wanted him to take her home when he demanded answers about the pains of arts that were destroyed due to dissatisfaction of the creators. His creator had once concluded him a failed art and stated he was in pain. He was sure that the Dark wing was thinking of her till now because she was important to him. He had sensed it because he had ability to read thoughts of things and that he sensed Dark wing's presence while Risa was sleeping. He told her that long ago, Dark wing carried suffering and pain where ever he went. In that way, Dark had changed. Argentine asked if Risa was Dark's 'heart'.

In school, Takeshi was spreading his reports on the disappearance of Risa and that Dark was responsible. He told Daisuke to help him distribute his reports. Dark was pissed off. Daisuke ran off as Takeshi asked him to help in getting news of Dark's every move. Just then, Takeshi noticed his father at the school gate and went to meet him. At the riverside, his father asked Takeshi to tell him information about Dark as he knew Dark would never kidnap a girl which was against his normal activity. He told Takeshi to make way for home with him. Takeshi told his father that his mother was returning home and reminded him of family dinner.

At night, Dark placed a card outside Riku's bedroom indicating his vow to save Risa. As he prepared to leave, Riku woke and attempted to stop him. Dark attempted to flee but she grabbed his waist, wanting him to take her to where Risa was. Dark was aghast as he might change back to Daisuke anytime. Daisuke (in Dark's form) reassured Riku and told her to wait for him to take Risa back to her. He flew off.

In other place, Risa was wondering why Argentine wanted to be like Dark. She sensed something in Argentine that reminded her of Dark. He took her down the tower to show her something. He showed her his created girl 'Qualia' which he stated was incompleted.

In the night, Satoshi took Daisuke to a place where Argentine was located. He suspected Risa was being held in the middle tower. Along the way, Satoshi told Daisuke their possible ways to reach Risa. Daisuke felt uneasy for Satoshi to be involved with the dangerous mission. Satoshi reassured that it was not only Daisuke's matter. Flashback, Satoshi's foster father told Satoshi that one of his ancestors' disposed art work was getting out of hand and he told him to finish it with his own hands. Back to present, Satoshi and Daisuke made it to the other side of the bridge. For a second, Daisuke sensed his wings and suspected something had made contact with Dark.

Other place, Risa wondered if the girl was alive and Argentine did not know but knew she was destroyed as she was a failed creation. Argentine told Risa that he was not completely destroyed like the girl. He had been alone for a long time. He had tried to recreate the girl like what his creator had done but she lacked the heart which meant she was still worthless. Meanwhile, Satoshi explained the possible traps and equipments around the areas to Daisuke as they moved on. Satoshi knew Daisuke carried the 'key' to deactivate the traps. He wondered if there was some coincidence to it. Satoshi knew he was running out of time to obtain the answer. Other place, Risa asked why Argentine thought of bringing the girl back and he replied that he sensed he and she were somehow bound together inextricably. He believed that once he obtained feeling if he became Dark wing, he would know the answer to that. The girl suddenly smiled. Same time, Dark and Satoshi sensed the strengthening of Argentine's power and were confused. Daisuke also sensed it as the wall began to crumble. He warned Satoshi of the crumbling ceiling as he pushed him to safety. Both of them fell into the water and Daisuke swam hard, fighting to bring both of them to water surface. In her house, Riku read Dark's note and worried for Risa. In other place, Risa told Argentine that he was in love with that girl. Argentine sensed strength in his hand and knew he had feelings. He grabbed Risa's wrists and stated that she had taught him many things which he had been ignorant to it all the times. She yelled him to let her go. Same time, Satoshi regained conscious to find themselves under the bridge. Daisuke had passed out and he pulled him to him, calling him to pull himself together. He pulled him to dry ground and tried to blow air into him but was pushed off by Dark in nick of time. Dark told Satoshi that he was complicated before reverting back to Daisuke. Daisuke was relieved to see Satoshi well. While Daisuke was worrying about Satoshi's missing glasses, Satoshi thanked Daisuke for saving his life. Daisuke replied with a smile that he was glad he was okay. They set off with their mission. Along the way, Satoshi told Daisuke of his clan's ability to give life to arts. He warned that Argentine was unlike usual art pieces and was similar to Krad and Dark. Daisuke was confused and hoped Dark could answer his doubts. Eventually, Daisuke and Satoshi reached the foot of the internal of the middle tower.

COMMENT:

Dunno why Daisuke/Satoshi's contrast slightly reminds me of Naruto/Sasuke.
